Five maps summarise the Italian campaign and the four battles in Cassino, explaining their specificities.In the centre, a plastic model of the region highlights the position of every village involved in the setting. Opposite, a military diorama reconstructs the bloody crossing of the River Rapido by the 34th Texas Division. A space is dedicated to “Primo Raggruppamento Motorizzato”, the first great unit organized by the Italian Army which started fighting alongside the Allies and which represents the beginning of the rebirth of the Italian Army. The visit ends with a symbolic picture showing three soldiers with a comment on World War II.
