HISTORIALE DI CASSINO 

L’Historiale di Cassino è un nuovo modo di raccontare la storia basato sull’utilizzo di differenti modalità espressive. Utilizza il linguaggio del  cinema, della museografia, delle arti visive, impiega tecniche e tecnologie per la divulgazione di contenuti culturali.

L’Historiale racconta, in tredici sale, gli avvenimenti, il contesto geo-strategico e i ricordi della popolazione locale sulla battaglia di Montecassino e sugli eventi che hanno colpito il territorio del martirologio durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Un luogo eminente dedicato alla memoria storica di una delle battaglie più cruente ed emblematiche del conflitto, che diventa viaggio all’interno della coscienza europea e della capacità di rinascita di una popolazione che ha perduto tutto, perfino la propria identità, ma che ha avuto la forza di risorgere dalle rovine diventando esempio per tutta la comunità internazionale.

 Ideato e realizzato da Officina Rambaldi su incarico del Comitato per le Celebrazioni della Battaglia di Montecassino e con il patrocinio del Ministero della Difesa, l’Historiale è stato finanziato dal Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali.

 

HISTORIALE DI CASSINO  
The Historiale tells the story of the Cassinate area during the Second World War. This land was the protagonist of one of the bloodiest and most emblematic battles of the Second World War.
This story becomes the symbol of a journey into the European consciousness and the capacity for rebirth of an entire population that lost everything, even its identity, but was able to rise again and become an example for the entire international community.
This is the same land from which, in the distant past, the Benedictine spirit spread, contributing to the foundation of Europe and creating an indelible link between these places and the destiny of the entire continent.

The Historiale has used various forms of expression, including cinema, museography and the visual arts, as well as new technologies: Images, films, sets, special effects, artistic installations, accompanied by a soundtrack that follows the narrative and thematic thread of the exhibition.

All the rooms of the Historiale are in semi-darkness, intensified by the colour of the dark walls. It is from this penumbra that the objects of the narrative emerge, evoked by the music and soundtrack of the rooms.
